The Water Remembers is a powerful, multidisciplinary performance by The Sister Tour, a collective of Flint-based artists including Shea Cobb and Amber Hasan. This evocative piece delves into the spiritual and physical connections between Black women and water, drawing inspiration from the ongoing Flint water crisis. Through a blend of spoken word, music, and movement, the performance explores historical and contemporary narratives, invoking elements such as the water orisha Oshun and events like the Igbo Landing, to highlight the resilience and activism of marginalized communities.
